Anne & I have been playing around with paleo for about the last year. We have done the Whole 30, and a Paleo Challenge at our local gym that I work out at (when I actually go). When we have followed the paleo life style (because that's what this is, not a diet) we feel so much better, have so much more energy and have noticeable improvement in body composition.
When we are following paleo Anne gets heavily into it (like going in on pastured pigs and grass fed cows). She even had to go out and buy a larger freezer for all the meat she was buying. We've found some really great recipes from sites like Paleo Parents and Everyday Paleo that really makes eating this way work.
As I said we always feel so much better when we are sticking to eating paleo. Not sure why but after a time we always fall off and then we say we are going to take a break and then the break gets longer and longer, before you know it we are back to our old ways (Pasta and Pizza are two of my biggest temptations).
So with the New Year we are both trying to start out fresh again. Anne has started to a 21 day sugar detox and getting back on the paleo wagon. For me, my goals are to get back on the paleo wagon and to start training again consistently. The point of the blog is to share this journey all of the ups and all of the downs.
